A tier B TFT Set 18 ranked comp for patch 18.1: how to build it, which items and augments to prioritise, and how to position it.
Fast 9Late Game
How to Play
AP Exodia is a broad, late-game AP power-board rather than a narrow trait comp, pushing all the way to level 9 for a wide five-cost-heavy board. If you're handed AD items instead, pivot Draven onto the board.
Core Units
Alune
5-cost Carry
Kennen
5-cost Carry
Taric
5-cost Frontline
Ivern
5-cost Carry
Amumu
4-cost Frontline
Maokai
5-cost Frontline
Fiddlesticks
3-cost Frontline
Diana
3-cost Frontline
Early Game
Amumu, Fiddlesticks, and Diana are cheap early frontline. Prioritise economy heavily since this is a gold-intensive late plan.
Mid Game
Push through level 8 while banking for your five-cost pieces. Taric can pair with either Kennen or Ivern once both are on board.
Late Game and Final Board
Three AP threats in Alune, Kennen, and Ivern behind a wide frontline gives real staying power in a level 9 lobby, though assembling it takes real patience.
Best Items
Alune wants Striker's Flail and Nashor's Tooth; Kennen runs Edge of Night and Rabadon's Deathcap; Ivern takes Void Staff and Spear of Shojin.
Best Augments
Feeling Lucky and One-Two-Five-I suit the early game; Booster Pack++ and Epoch support the mid game; Upward Mobility and Level Up close it out.
Positioning
Taric, Amumu, Maokai, Fiddlesticks, and Diana form a wide frontline. Keep Alune, Kennen, and Ivern spread across the back row.
Flex Units and Alternative Carries
If you're handed AD items, Draven is a viable pivot onto this same frontline.
Strengths and Weaknesses
A genuinely tanky wide board with three AP threats. It's slow and expensive to assemble, which along with strong competition from other five-cost boards is why it sits at B despite a real late-game ceiling.
