Wrath of the Woods TFT Set 18 Ranked Comp

A tier S TFT Set 18 ranked comp for patch 18.1: how to build it, which items and augments to prioritise, and how to position it.

Fast 8Elderwood

How to Play

Wrath of the Woods runs a full Elderwood board with three real carries in Gnar, Aphelios, and Lux. Mobalytics' own data has this comp moving up to S tier since the set launched, so treat it as one of the strongest options currently available.

Early Game

Ornn, Alistar, and Xayah are cheap Elderwood-adjacent bodies from the start. Play around the Elderwood trait early and add your fifth Elderwood unit by stage 3-2.

Mid Game

Push through level 8 and add Lillia and LeBlanc as you find them; leftover AP items can go to LeBlanc. Play Lillia and Aphelios into your board as soon as you hit them.

Late Game and Final Board

Three itemised carries covering AD, physical crit, and AP damage make this comp hard to hard-counter with a single defensive item. Itemise Ornn early since he farms a bonus artifact.

Best Items

Gnar wants Edge of Night and Bloodthirster; Aphelios runs Infinity Edge and Last Whisper; Lux takes Void Staff and Spear of Shojin.

Best Augments

Group Hug I and Partial Ascension suit the early game; Slammin' and Epic Rolldown support the mid game; Golden Gamble and Baron's Lair close it out.

Positioning

Ornn, Alistar, and Lillia wall the front. Split Gnar, Aphelios, and Lux into separate backline corners.

Flex Units and Alternative Carries

LeBlanc and Alune are the flexible utility slots; Ivern is a viable swap for Lux if you find his pieces faster.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Recently climbed to S tier with three genuine carries covering different damage types. Assembling a full Elderwood board takes real commitment early, which is why it's rated Medium rather than Easy.
