Fast 8Vanguard
How to Play
Apheliguards is Mobalytics' top-rated Set 18 comp, built around a Vanguard frontline shielding three real damage threats in Aphelios, Ivern, and Brambleback. Play a standard Fast 8 curve and let your item drops decide which of the three carries you lean on hardest.

Early Game
Hold Vanguard and Riftbeast pieces as you find them and play a normal econ opening. None of the three carries need to be on board early, so there's no rush to commit before your frontline is ready.
Mid Game
Push to level 8 while Ancient Sentinel, Hecarim, Taric, and Diana form a four-wide frontline. Mama Beak and Zyra fill utility slots without needing dedicated items.
Late Game and Final Board
With three itemised carries behind a genuinely tanky frontline, this comp rates as the strongest board in the current patch on Mobalytics' own data. Ivern's items can pass to Zyra once he's upgraded and no longer needs them as urgently.
Best Items
Kraken's Fury and Giant Slayer are Aphelios's core; Ivern wants Morellonomicon and Spear of Shojin; Brambleback runs Sterak's Gage and Deathblade. Ancient Sentinel holds the front on Warmog's Armor and Evenshroud.
Best Augments
Backup Bows and Cognitive Tax both suit the early game; Big Grab Bag and Epic Rolldown support the mid-game item hunt; Call to Chaos and Baron's Lair close it out.
Positioning
Ancient Sentinel, Hecarim, Taric, and Diana spread across the front two rows, with Taric paired next to Ancient Sentinel. Aphelios, Ivern, and Brambleback take the back row, spread into separate corners.
Flex Units and Alternative Carries
Mama Beak and Zyra are the flexible utility slots; swap either for a stronger Vanguard or Riftbeast piece if your lobby offers one.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Rated the single best comp in the current patch, with three genuine damage threats reducing reliance on any one item line. It's also flagged Hard to execute, since balancing items across three carries takes more judgement than a single-carry board.
