A tier A TFT Set 18 ranked comp for patch 18.1: how to build it, which items and augments to prioritise, and how to position it.
Fast 8VanguardInvoker
How to Play
Vanguard Morgana runs two real carries in Morgana and Nidalee behind the same Vanguard frontline as the S tier Aphelios build, giving you flexibility in which one your items favour. One tracker rates this comp a tier higher than the consensus here, so treat it as a strong A with S tier upside.

Early Game
Play a standard econ opening and hold Vanguard pieces as you find them. Neither Morgana nor Nidalee needs to be on board early, so there's no rush to commit before your frontline is ready.
Mid Game
Push through level 8 with Brambleback and Ancient Sentinel tanking while you look for your carries' items. Taric slots in as a third frontline body once you're close to your final board.
Late Game and Final Board
Morgana's Wound and Void Staff hurt any comp leaning on healing or shields, and Nidalee's crit build gives you a second damage source if her items come first. Alune's buff to Lunar units is a bonus if she's found, not a requirement.
Best Items
Morellonomicon is close to mandatory on Morgana for the Wound effect, paired with Rabadon's Deathcap and Void Staff. Nidalee wants Guinsoo's Rageblade and Jeweled Gauntlet to convert her crit scaling.
Best Augments
Vanguard or Invoker verticality augments both suit this comp. Gold-focused econ augments help you reach level 8 with items on both carries rather than just one.
Positioning
Brambleback, Ancient Sentinel, and Taric hold the front. Split Morgana and Nidalee into separate backline corners so a single flanking unit can't threaten both of your damage sources at once.
Flex Units and Alternative Carries
Whichever of Morgana or Nidalee finds items first should become your primary focus for the rest of the game; the other still contributes as a secondary threat rather than needing to be benched.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Having two genuinely different carries means a lobby denying one item line doesn't sink the comp. Sources are split between A and S tier on this one, so expect it to be competitive without being an automatic top pick.
