A tier A TFT Set 18 ranked comp for patch 18.1: how to build it, which items and augments to prioritise, and how to position it.

How to Play
Fae Xayah is a one cost reroll comp, rolling down early for a three star Xayah behind Rakan's shield. This is the least corroborated comp in the current research, so treat its placement with a little more caution than the others here.
Core Units
Xayah
1-cost Carry
Rakan
1-cost Frontline
Tristana
3-cost Carry
Lillia
4-cost Frontline
Ornn
1-cost Frontline
Early Game
Roll aggressively at level 4 to 5 for Xayah copies as soon as your econ allows. Rakan and Ornn are both cheap enough to hold as frontline while you search.
Mid Game
Once Xayah is two or three star, add Tristana as a secondary Hunter-adjacent damage source and Lillia as a frontline body while you push levels back up.
Late Game and Final Board
A three star Xayah with attack speed items can carry rounds on her own well into the late game, though this comp's ceiling is lower than the S tier picks since it depends on a one cost unit scaling the whole way.
Best Items
Guinsoo's Rageblade and Giant Slayer are Xayah's core items, converting her attack speed into real damage against tankier boards.
Best Augments
Fae Emblem is worth taking if you're already committed to this line, since it can push your Fae count higher for the team-wide bonus. Econ augments that let you roll earlier than usual support the plan well.
Positioning
Rakan and Ornn hold the front; keep Xayah in the back where her range lets her fire freely without needing to be protected as heavily as a melee carry.
Flex Units and Alternative Carries
Sivir, Caitlyn, and Ashe form an alternate Hunter-flavoured version of this comp if you find those pieces faster than a second Xayah; the frontline shell stays similar either way.
Strengths and Weaknesses
A cheap, flexible reroll that doesn't require much economy to execute. The tradeoff is a lower ceiling than the four and five cost carries elsewhere on this list, and this comp has the least cross-source agreement of anything here, so expect its placement to shift as the meta settles.
